my something more
I've been feeling an abundance of blessings lately as we transition back to "normal life" vs life traveling in our 28' camper, and felt the desire to express some gratitude for where this life and business of helping others reach their health + self care goals has taken me this past year. What an unexpected, incredible journey this has been, and it's just getting started!
It all continued with an invitation to learn more about Essential Oils and how to use them with myself and my family - to me, learning how to properly and safely add essential oils to our daily routine seemed like an awesome way for me as a mom to have a few extra ways to help support my children's little bodies, and duh, they smell like sunshine in a bottle. Having used essential oils my entire life due to a mom who would use them with me and my sisters and an older sister who is a chiropractor, I was familiar with them, but had no idea that there was a grade that had such powerful therapeutic uses! I was eager to learn as much as I could from day 1, and have since supported our family's immune systems, respiratory systems, fixed "boo-boos," and replaced all the toxic cleaners in my home using simple, safe ingredients and essential oils.
These essential oils have been the vessel to improve my self care and self love; I find myself longing for that peppermint oil when I wake up, the frankincense or a grounding blend on my temples when I'm feeling stressed, the grapefruit sugar scrub in the shower, and a calming blend at the end of the day (with a glass of wine, let's be real). I've bumped up my self care routine quite a bit and learned that if my cup isn't full, what do I have left to give my husband and children? They deserve the best, and any of us with little ones knows that a 2 year old and a 1 year old take tons of energy!
As is a typical story with those who use them, I fell in love with these incredible essential oils, and started sharing them the people around me who were searching for natural solutions. I live in a community where people seem to drawn to holistic practices and improving their fitness, so sharing with them is an extension of our conversations - I was so grateful to those who shared this information with me, why would I not pass it along when I've become so empowered to help our family so much? I'd be doing a disservice by not sharing with those who come to me!
What I didn't expect was this incredible journey of self-improvement, continually being stretched to be a better person, of being humbled with every text, email, thank you, or oil story that I get when moms, dads, aunts, uncles, friend, athletes, non-athletes, use these oils and find that empowerment that comes with having a solution to an immediate need.
This business has truly made both myself and my husband look outside the box (or cubicle?) and put us on a path less traveled... having the freedom to work from wherever, the books I've read since I've started, the more time I've had to spend in the Word and with my children, are really what inspired us to go on our road trip. We craved more time together, a less conventional way of life, and found that by delving into this business we were welcomed with open arms by a thriving community of essential oil users and biz owners who already knew that this way of life was for them.
By creating my own team, I've found such a love for serving others, I've stretched my limitations on what I thought my capabilities were, and I've found acceptance and support from our amazing community. I'm SO happy for Mondays since it means I have the opportunity to reach out to some of our community and see how I can support them in their oil journey! I'm 30, had worked in a corporate setting for 7 years, and was never excited for Mondays - and now I look forward to them. What a shift!
If you have a heart for helping others, are searching for ways to bridge that gap between your nutrition and fitness (or maybe it's not quite where you want it to be - yet) and your approach to wellness and self care, if you're searching for that "something more" and haven't quite found it, let's chat. Whether it be for this unique business opportunity with the best compensation plan out there and the ability to one day bring your husband home from work (or hey, maybe it's just not worrying about buying that new pair of shoes for your daughter she just grew out of or putting her in swim lessons), or maybe you want to experience the power of essential oils for yourself. I'm an email away - eastandupblog@gmail.com - and I am looking forward to getting you started on whichever journey you choose <3
