finally have some color in the house.
I have no idea why we (read: I) decided to start remodeling in the guest bedroom. I'm thinking it's because I wanted to switch the beds from what will be the nursery and put it in the guest room, but before doing so, I wanted it to be painted and have some fresh curtains with a clean start. The curtains, while very nice and the previous owner must have spent a fortune on getting custom window treatments for the entire house, were just gross.
Somehow that also turned into replacing the baseboard (found for free on the side of the road!).
This is the room before. The walls were green and we realized how faded they really were when we pulled some weird glued mirror off the wall.

This window is part of the reason I wanted this house. I LOVE that most of our rooms open up to the patio.
I wanted blue, so we went for it.
So much better!
My cute corner that I'm pretty proud of... $1 for the chair at a yard sale down the street from our house, and $.99 for the pillow at our local GoodWill. Chevron blanket was made by my aunt years and years ago. (Note the unfinished baseboard... TBD when that will be finished!)
Feels good to have an (almost!) completed room!
