two hour increments
So obviously, I'm a new mom. My husband is a new dad. All of this baby stuff is new to us, and we are totally learning as we go.
We have a 7 week old, who loves to eat every two to two and a half hours during the day. Like a full meal. She eats like she's never eaten before and I'm depriving her of all nutrients (which I assure you, she's got full access to these feeding melons and she's not wanting for anything). However, it's just strange to now plan my life around these two hour time slots, and pulling the hubby with us, or at least convincing him to do the 3am diaper change. It's not a big deal, really, as I don't mind throwing on a cover and letting her go to town no matter where we are, but it's just a completely different way of living - to constantly be aware of when this tiny child, who is so dependent on me, needs to eat. It's not like remembering to feed the fur babies twice a day and knowing they'll be ok.

She's pretty amazing, and everyday I fall more and more in love with her. Even when she's hungry at awful hours and I'm praying she'll learn to sleep through the night (although the 7 straight hours at night she's giving us is wonderful!). Her beauty, her smiles, and her kisses (she's totally giving kisses!) are more than enough to know she's above and beyond any child I'd ever dreamed of having.
Here she is, all dressed up for Aunt Lindsey's Kentucky Derby themed bridal shower today!
