weeks 36 & 37

I don't even want to fill these out this week. I just want her to get here and celebrate with some good beer, although from what I hear, that's not entirely realistic after welcoming a baby. I'm assuming I won't care about beer by the time she gets here and will just want to spend as much time as humanly possible with the little bug.

Feeling: Lots of contractions.

I managed to get totally sick in week 36, like an ears and throat thing that turned into a nasty cough that sucks away all my energy. So much so that I stayed home from work for 3 days and all I did was clean 3 fans.

So, while I'm feeling lots of ickiness and frustration at being this huge, I'm looking forward to this blessing of a baby girl. We're ready - diapers, place to sleep, some newborn clothes, a clean bedroom. Obviously other stuff too, but it's nice to say the basics are covered.

Not feeling: Ughhhh. that is all.

Weight Gain: 28.8 lbs at 37 week checkup.

Projects: Patrick finished the baseboard in the nursery! Hallelujah! It looks amazing. I have to do a whole post on the nursery. We're so happy with the way it turned out.

Planning: For the arrival of our baby girl.

Best thing this week: Hands down, eating Jupiter Donuts.

Just kidding. Watching Patrick compete at the in-house competition at CFPB in the elite division and get 4th place (proud wifey over here!) was pretty awesome (and thanks to Tony for the picture!).

Seeing flowers in the yard for the first time since last summer.

Our first crop of kale from our vertical garden, and a belly pic at 36 weeks that somehow snuck into the picture. And by somehow, I mean I can't hide that thing if my life depended on it.

And most importantly, my last remaining "single" sister got engaged!! I'm so excited for her, and she's (we) are already busy planning a wedding for - get this - next month! She wasn't kidding she wants a short engagement :)

Workouts: Due to getting sick, I only worked out Monday in week 36, and Tuesday and Thursday in week 37. And really it was, like, half a WOD that I did. I actually put my membership on hold over the weekend and had to hold back tears. I feel like at this point, there really is a tiny baby inside of me who is really about to join this world. It is in my best interest to keep moving, keep eating right, stay healthy, but also rest! It's like I can't get enough sleep.
