week 27 // feeling thankful.
Patrick totally needs a haircut.
Feeling: In the spirit of week 27 being the week of Thanksgiving (and the last week of my second trimester), I am feeling thankful for this little life thriving inside of me. I love her tiny little (or sometimes big, breath-taking) kicks I feel, thankful for the way she's growing, thankful for her Daddy, who has been nothing but super supportive as my emotions and hormones can leave me wondering why the heck I'm crying over picking up the wrong doorknob from Home Depot, thankful that she isn't going to care about the stupid doorknob from Home Depot. Thankful for our supportive families, and my 4-year-old niece's love for our daughter, who kisses my belly and says, "Hi, Harlee Faye," "bye, Harlee Faye," or "I love you, Harlee Faye." Thankful she has a name that represents family, with Harley being my paternal grandfather's middle name, combined with my mom's middle name, Lee, and Faye, my great-grandmother's name.
Not feeling: Peanut butter - I guess the paleo people were right. I can't eat peanut butter anymore without feeling crappy.
Weight Gain: Definitely more than the last checkup.
Projects: I think we finally smartened up and are finishing up the little bits and pieces around here before moving onto anything else.
Planning: Harlee's baby shower <3
Best thing this week: Spending time with friends and family for Thanksgiving and getting to spend some time in the woods, even if it was walking through mud. Picking out our Christmas tree from the farm Patrick's grandparents live on in Oak Hill. Going to my first curry night at a good friend's house in Fort Pierce. A brief stop at a winery in Fort Pierce that made me realize how much cool stuff we have to do around here that we have yet to explore. Going to Faydra and Kevin's wedding.
Workouts: Just trying to keep moving! These last 2 weeks I've only been going 3 times a week, which seems to be just time with me and baby. Also, read this. Love her perspective.
