Anna no longer has her appendix.

That was Patrick's Facebook post to tell people that I was in the hospital due to appendicitis over the weekend. And he's usually so romantic and wordy. So yes, I am currently without appendix. I highly dislike having staples in my belly and do not recommend getting appendicitis, although the doctors couldn't tell me what causes it or how to prevent it, so good luck to you. The pain sucked, too. Being up all night in tears due to pain in your abdomen = bad. 

Here is a totally classy picture of me eating my delicious hospital food. Luckily I was only in there Saturday morning from about 2am until 5pm. Not bad for surgery, I guess. 

Here's to recovery, and 11 days with staples in my belly.
